 Week 1
Lesson 1
Let's Discuss Ideas
In this lesson we are working on coming up with ideas and learning how to brainstorm, make a vision board as well as a story board or a list of colouring page ideas. We will learn the importance of this step and be introduced to the course.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Start Designing
There is a lot that goes into the design process. It is important for students to begin making a rough draft of their ideas, putting pen to paper to provide a starting point. We will be working on writing our story as well as coming up with the ideas for each illustration. If students have decided on creating a colouring book we will be focusing on start rough drafts of the designs. We will complete our rough draft by the end of this lesson.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Continue Designing
The design process will take a little while to complete but it is a two part process. This lesson will focus on making our final draft, checking for mistakes, putting together final drawings.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Start Designing a Cover Page
The cover page is one of the most important pieces in selling your book so we will spend this lesson talking about design and creating our very own cover page.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Writing Your Product Description, Pricing and More
Once we have completed our rough copy, final copy, and cover page we are able to jump into our product description, pricing and sale details. When we are publishing a book it is important to have all of this information prepared and ready to entice customers to purchase your book.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Publishing Your Work
We are publishing your book! This lesson is all about publishing your book, double checking for errors and going through the process of self publishing and being able to have your very own book in your hands and available or others to purchase.
