Fans of "STAR WARS” will have fun learning to draw and watercolor paint. Each watercolor painting lesson will offer new techniques to help you draw and paint different original series Star Wars characters. Specifics we will learn: Contouring Shading Improve drawing skills Colors How to use your paintbrushes. How to choose and mix watercolor paint. Create character and form using texture and shading. Learning perspective views. I encourage artists to ask me any art questions!!!

This is not a course for written grades. I stay positive while also offering constructive advice on how they could take their project to the next level. In every lesson, I teach and encourage every artist to make the art their very own. So I encourage them to add some extras, draw and paint in their style, and let them know their artwork does not have to look like mine! My feedback is only ever positive and encouraging! Students will leave my class feeling empowered, and encouraged and I am sure they will be eager to watercolor paint more! Learners will interact with each other and the teacher through the classroom page via chat messaging, discussions about the lesson, posting a photo of their artwork, answering the key question for the lesson that week and student collaborative artboard. I will provide encouragement and positive feedback on their artwork and guide the students in classroom discussion topics. The artwork deadlines will be the following week- the day before the next lesson is uploaded to the classroom wall.Grades Offered
9 files available upon enrollment~ If painting is not your thing, digital, markers, or colored pencils are welcome! Watercolor Painting Supplies: See the colors in the class pictures that we will use. ~ Paper - "watercolor paper" 9 x 12 (Note this is special paper. Regular paper will tear and a canvas will not absorb) ~ Pencil and eraser ~ 2 qty - Jars of water ~ 1 qty - Drinking straw ~ Paper towels or napkins ~ Paintbrushes - Round or flat tip ~ Paint tray for watercolor mixing ~ Paint - watercolor paints (see the picture for colors needed for each character) *Note that you will need to purchase a special paper labeled specifically as "Watercolor Paper" and "Watercolor Paints". ~ If painting is not your thing, digital, markers, or colored pencils are welcome! I will take your student on a journey, Inspire, and build confidence.

Nearpod platform will be utilized for extra student interaction in addition to the classroom page. A link along with an access code will be provided in the Outschool classroom related to each week's flex lesson. The access code I provide will take them directly to lessons. Some other websites will be used as a knowledge base in addition to my watercolor painting instruction. These websites will be just one part of the interactive material accessed thru Nearpod: ~ "Star Wars Kids” channel YouTube: Visit Industrial Light & Magic Studio and make droids move like humans. Learn about R2-D2 ~ "DisneyPlus" channel YouTube: Learn about Boba Fett’s journey across the galaxy. ~ "Lucasfilm" website: Learn about Darth Vader and see how his helmet is made.
