* Please note, this is a flexible schedule course with pre-recorded lessons. There are no live meetings. This is a great class for busy parents and students who need the flexibility to work on assignments. In this flex class students will learn about each of the 7 Continents and their surrounding Oceans. We will explore what makes up a continent, the different sizes and environments, the people/cultures/languages, famous landmarks and even some interesting laws from different countries! And let’s not forget all of the different animals of each continent!
I hold a Masters Degree in Child & Adolescent Development where I strongly believe the need for children (and adults) to learn more than just the basics on our world. I also homeschool my daughter (age 12) and understand the importance of learning in a fun environment!
Viewing of instructional videos, weekly discussions, polls, feedback, and quizzes.
We will use Nearpod and the Outschool classroom for interactive discussions and feedback.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Individual informal assessments of the Nearpod activities will be provided to each student.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
