Class Experience

In this class, students will continue their musical education by learning skills in the Piano Adventures Lesson Book (Level 1). Students they will learn to use both hands on the piano at the same time, intervals, legato, and staccato playing. They will practice playing C position and G position.
I am a retired public school music teacher. I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a Bachelors of Music Education. I have taught music to all grades in the public school system, but spent most of time in elementary and middle school music. I have taught private piano lessons for many years in my home to all ages, ranging from 5 years old to adults. I have taught online for more than 5 years and enjoy this a great deal! I am also certified in Reading and ESL and enjoy working with all ages of students.
Each week, an assignment sheet (along with videos) will be sent for students to work on at a time that is convenient for them. Assignments are suggested to be returned to me by Saturday of that week. Assignments will include all different types of activities in order to master the skills taught.
