Each week a new letter sound will be introduced. We will learn what the letter looks like, the name, the sound it makes and items that begin with the sound, and different skills to support the learning of phonics.

In these sessions, we will learn six initial letter sounds: s, a, t, p, i, n. Each week we will learn what the letter looks like, the name of the letter and the sound of the letter, with lots of looking, listening, practising, actions, and new vocabulary. At the beginning of the classes, I will include an introduction video for the parents/carers to share what to expect across the weeks/course. Each week will be split into 4 parts, parts will include: 1. An introduction to the sound 2....
Learning goes: - Recognise initial letter sounds s, a, t, p, i, n - Develop our listening skills - Develop our vocabulary - Develop our fundamental phonological skills and memory
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Realistic images will be used .e.g, 'p' has a panda, 'a' an alligator. Please make sure the space is clear as your children to be using movements and actions at certain points during the session. The use of Canva is strictly as a slideshow resource, similarly is PowerPoint. No third-party access will be required. Use of Canva and PowerPoint will be used via share screen as visual teaching resources.
