Description

Class Experience

To be able to read non-fiction texts and answer questions. 
To be able to express opinions about non-fiction topics. 
To be able to answer questions about the text. 
To be able to use new vocabulary in a sentence. 
I am an experience classroom primary / elementary school teacher and head of year. I have taught in London, North Africa and the Middle East and am now based in the U.S.  With many years of experience and enjoy helping children progress in their academic journey. I pride myself on ensuring that the materials are educational and engaging and that children leave the lesson knowing more than they started. Progressing and moving forward with confidence. I am looking forward to you joining me!
There will be some activities linked to each lesson.

Learners will need to have a Google account. Many learners already have access to Google through a school account. If they do not already have one, please make sure to sign up for an account before class begins. A link to the Google lesson will be sent prior to class. Children will be provided with a code for Nearpod lessons - they do not need a Nearpod account. Handouts will be sent prior to the start of each lesson. Students will need a spiral notebook for their English notes.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I will be assessing as I would in the classroom and personalized feeding back to parents in this style - what went well, future goals and guidance. 
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
In order to access some of the resources you will need to have access to a Google account so that students can view and edit slides and activities. There are some embedded videos that take students to Youtube. 

Nearpod: You will need to ensure that students are on the nearpod.com/student website or have the app downloaded, they do not need an account just have access the website and then they will simply enter the code that I will provide with students first name and last initial and you can participate in the lesson by completing the questions on the screen and I will see the response.
