Week 3: Vocabulary - kitchen, refrigerator, oven, table & chairs Q&A - What's in your kitchen? A(n) oven/refrigerator/table/chairs is/are in my kitchen. Week 4: Extra furniture and student project
I passed the Spanish Praxis exam required to teach Spanish in my state and taught middle school Spanish for 2 years. I have also formally worked as a Spanish interpreter to interpret parent-teacher conferences. Although I am Hispanic, I am not a native Spanish speaker.
Every week, learners will create a short audio or video of themselves (they can use the "add video" button in the classroom) saying the week's Q&A "chant" and share it with other learners. They will also complete a project about a room in their house using full sentences during the last week of the course.
I will watch each learner's videos and write encouraging comments. I will also assist with creating the Spanish sentences needed to complete the final project.
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Parents may need to guide their learners in watching each week's videos, using each week's worksheets/flashcards, and helping them participate in the discussion posts by typing and/or recording audio/video of themselves.
