Homework
1-2 hours per week. Each student must spend at least an hour practicing in between each voice lesson.

Class Experience

The Star Spangled Banner is the National Anthem of the United States of America. It's often sung on National Holidays, as well as at the beginning of sports games across the country. 

As singers, The Star Spangled Banner is one of the most challenging and rewarding songs to learn how to sing.

In this 4 week Flex Class, singers will learn the iconic song as well as exercises that can be done to help improve their voices to make this performance easier. 

The song will be broken down into small parts so that singers can learn it piece by piece. 

WEEK 1 - The Basics 
Vocal Health, Posture, and Warm Up Routine
Finding your Correct Key and Starting Note
Song study - "Oh say... last gleaming."

WEEK 2 - Breath and Flexibility
Phrasing 
Scales and Arpeggios
Song study - "Whose broad... gallantly streaming."

WEEK 3 - Performance Technique
How to use a Microphone
"Power Stance"
Song study - "And the rockets... flag was still there."

WEEK 4 - 
History of the Song 
Putting it all together! 
Song study - "Oh say does... and the home of the brave."

By the end of this 4 week course, students will have learned how to sing and perform The Star Spangled Banner.
