How to Play Prelude in C on the Piano

In this 4 week flex class, we will break down "Minuet in G" by Johann Sebastian Bach. 

This class piano piece is suitable for Advanced Beginners who have previous knowledge of how to play piano with both hands, how to read notes on the staff, how to play chords, how to read key signature, how to read a time signature, how to keep an even tempo, and how to read accidentals (sharps, flats, and naturals). 

This piece has three pages. We will break down the sections of the song in groups of 8 measures. 

WEEK 1
Measures 1 - 8
History of the Song

Students will interact with the teacher and classmates by posting a video or audio recording of themselves playing the first 8 measures of Prelude in C. 

WEEK 2
Measures 9 - 16
Playing the C Major Scale and A Natural Minor Scale to help perform the piece

Students will interact with the teacher and classmates by posting a video or audio recording of themselves playing the first 8 measures of Prelude in C. 

WEEK 3
Measures 17 - 24
Playing the song as Block Chords to help with performance of Prelude in C

Students will interact with the teacher and classmates by posting a video or audio recording of themselves playing the first 8 measures of Prelude in C.

Dynamics and Articulations in Prelude in C
