Class Experience

-------- What is Provided -------- This course includes a 65-page printable PDF course-book with all of the content covered during the course (see outline above) as well as fun activities to complete outside of class (cut and paste exercises, word searches, recipes, cooperative card game, printable plant ID sheets) and detailed monographs of the plants discussed during the course. The course-book will be delivered in four parts as we progress. -------- Recommended Supplies -------- These supplies will make it easier to harvest and process plants when you are adventuring outside of class. Most of this list will be easy to find around the house! 3-ring binder and hole punch for course materials & Plant ID sheets Glue stick (for cut and paste activities) Crayons or colored pencils (for coloring pages) Backpack or basket for harvesting plants outside of class Gardening gloves Scissors聽 Trowel A field guide for your region (I will provide some resources in class!) Tea strainer for loose tea Storage bottles, jars, or containers (for storing dried herbs, tincturing, and infusing plant material into oil or vinegar) Cotton string or twine (for tying and drying plant material)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
