FLEX Class: English Reading and Writing Club!

This is a fun and lively English Reading and Writing class for students who are developing their reading and writing skills!  This class will not meet face-to-face; there are no live meetings. There are a series of  videos which students can work through in their own time and then they can share their work collaboratively. Learners can watch the videos as many times as they like.

This is a class for students who can already read and write relatively independently - this class will build on those skills! This is not a class for beginning readers. We will develop key reading and writing skills, explore grammar, learn parts of speech and language devices, and study and write stories. Each week a video is released which contains the lesson, alongside some accompanying activities.  The lessons are fun and interactive, with short bursts of activities to keep students engaged.

Week 1 -  Shakespeare’s Globe - all about Shakespeare's life, works and words.
Week 2 - Write a book review.
Week 3 - Creative Writing: How to write an adventure story.
Week 4 - Amazing alliteration. 

Learners will be encouraged to:
✔️Share ideas with other learners by completing written tasks. 
✔️ Respond to discussion questions in the Classroom.
✔️Submit work to the teacher for feedback.

Each week's video will include include vocabulary and creative ideas.  The videos are about 20 minutes long - learners can pause them at any time and complete the activities at their own pace.

A Flex class allows learners to take my (brilliant!) classes at times to suit them - even when we're in different timezones! I look forward to sharing my fun, interactive classes with your learner! 

I have a Masters and a PGCE from Oxford, and many years experience teaching in a variety of schools across the UK.
