Class Experience
FLEX CLASS: Easy Beginning Piano (Later Beginner) PART 1 FLEX = Pre-recorded content with the "flexibility" to work through on your own time throughout the week. This course will NOT meet live. A Flex class version for the older beginner of the popular “Primer Piano Adventures” course (check reviews here: https://outschool.com/classes/primer-part-1-piano-adventure-beginner-course-practice-videos-free-workbook-qD1Wuy5V). Each week, students will receive a new video of no more than 15...
Students will learn: Proper posture and hand position To identify notes on the keyboard How to read music on the grand staff Basic rhythm counting and playing How to analyze a new song To keep a steady beat Rhythm versus beat
Your teacher, Ms. Diana, has taken 500+ primary and middle/high students through this series with successful completion of the level in 95% of student participants. Students have continued on to complete the series, as well as move into their own goals of music. This format has proven to be effective for the beginning piano student in setting a foundation of how to play their best.
Students are expected to send a recording of their songs either through the classroom or directly to Ms. Diana once a week. This will enable progress to happen as I will provide individualized feedback to help your learner understand the songs. Students will also have theory which can be posted to the classroom or sent directly to Ms. Diana as well.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
