Class Experience
The class is a FLEX class, meaning there will not be any live meetings. Instead, the students will be able to access the classroom at their convenience and find prerecorded lessons. Interaction will happen through the Outschool classroom. Discussions will be posted in the classroom so students can interact with each other and the teacher. Students will also have the chance to interact with each other in class projects. They will have the chance to complete a real estate project and share with other students their experience. During the class the students will have the chance to interact with each other and the teacher through discussion forums, writing forums, and activities and games. Students will learn about the following topics: On the first week they will learn about: Advantages and Rewards of a Career in Real Estate On the second week they will learn about: Education for a Career in Real Estate Commercial vs Residential Real Estate On the third week: Getting Started in Real Estate: choosing a broker, getting the first sale, setting up a market On the fourth week they will learn about: The life of a Realtor How a transaction works: what is a contract and what are the most common contingencies Students will begin by learning what a real estate career is all about and what are the potential career tracks for a real estate professional. As a Realtor myself I will explain how to get started in the business and the best practices for new agents. During the course I will also cover the topic of being a part time and a full time agent. This class aims to inform prospective agents on the ins and outs of the real estate world, guide them in the path of getting the right education and the best way to find a broke to ensure success in the field.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about a career in Real Estate. The course will be useful for teens that are thinking about starting a career as a real estate sales associate and want to get some insider information. They will learn about all the general education requirements and steps to follow to be licensed. They will also learn the in and outs of how to get started and what is the best way to do it. They will understand their options as a commercial or residential professional.

Hello everyone! My name is Ana, I am a certified online teacher and an economics and information systems graduate from Florida State University. I have been teaching and tutoring for the past 10 years and I'm absolutely passionate about it.
For my Outschool curriculum I am trying to create interesting short classes that will be fun and full of new knowledge.
