During this 8-week FLEX Summer Camp course, students will learn machine basics, and how to draft simple patterns and create 2 skirts, a tank top, and a ruffle dress to fit an 18" doll.

Class Experience
Supplies can be purchased at Walmart, Joanns, Thrift Stores, or any local sewing & craft store in your area. Pattern Making: A roll of dollar store wrapping paper or kraft paper for drafting our patterns A pen, pencil, or marker for drafting on paper Fabric Needed: Skirt #1 = 1/4 yard of woven fabric Skirt #2 = 1/4 yard of woven fabric and 1/4 yard of woven contrasting fabric T-Shirt = 1/4 yard of knit fabric or the easiest way is to use an old T-shirt Ruffle Dress = 1/2 yard of woven fabric Tools & Notions Needed: Sewing Machine Thread An iron & ironing board 1 yard of 3/8" elastic 1 tape measure 1 dritz see through 2" x 18" ruler or a yard stick Chalk, fabric marking pen, or fabric pencil for marking on fabric Straight Pins Fabric Scissors Paper Scissors A small size safety pin
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNERS WORKING WITH A SEWING MACHINE AND USING THE IRON
