Students will learn a variety of techniques in working with acrylic paint and color theory to strengthen confidence when painting with this medium.

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn to blend and mix all colors they need for gorgeous paintings using only the primary colors as well as black and white. Also, confidence will be built by painting from observation and using beginning color theory in their exercises and projects.
As a lifelong artist and creative influencer I have painted with Acrylics as one of my choice mediums for many years. I love to share what I know and guide students in becoming more proficient in using acrylic paint as a medium. To work on techniques and project explained in the weekly lesson as well as weekly challenges.
Please use what you have or colors close enough are fine to start with. I will be demonstrating with the below supplies and students can see the difference and decide if they would like to purchase higher quality art supplies. Mixed Media or Watercolor Paper White Gesso Acrylic Paint (Titanium White, Mars Black, Quinacrinone Magenta, Pthalo Blue, Hansa Yellow) Brushes (3/4” flat, #12 round, #4 round) Pallete (paper plate or old plate to keep reusing) Rag or Paper Towel Water cup
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Through communicating with the students needs daily via messaging we can assure the lessons are understood. Additional mini videos will be provided if additional understanding of lessons are needed. Communication with classmates is highly encouraged in the classroom chat as well as sharing of projects being worked on.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
