Class Experience

In this class, students will explore the art, history and culture of Ancient Greece. This thriving ancient culture was built on volcanic rich land surrounded by the ocean which fostered agriculture, fishing, written language, trade and architectural wonders. From the Parthenon to elaborate pottery and democracy, the ancient Greeks left their mark on the world. Cardboard tubes (4 toilet paper rolls or 2 paper towel rolls cut in half)

Cardboard (ideal 9"x4")

Week 4:
Print out of Greek style pots (attached)
Air dry clay (Crayola had a great product)
Black tempera or acrylic paint
Paint brush
Table covering
Large wooden spoon with no slots in it
Pencil
Hair dryer (to speed drying of projects)
