Description
Class Experience
Students will learn -the parts of their ukulele and their function -how to tune their ukulele -how to read chord charts and form chords -how to read and play strumming patterns -how to apply their ukulele foundations in playing a song
Week 1: Students will draw a picture and label the parts of the ukulele. They will also submit a short video at the end of this week. They will show that they know the string names and that their ukulele is in tune. Week 2: Students will copy the diagram of each chord chart as well as a picture or video of them forming each chord on their ukulele. Week 3: Students will learn a few different strumming patterns. They will copy these patterns out, and play them with the chords they have learned. Week 4: Students will submit a short video showing each strumming pattern they have learned while playing their first song. It would be best for each student to practice what they have learned each day for 15-20 minutes.
