If your student is interested in learning to create and use procreate starting from the basics to intermediate, this course is for you! This course is a complete program for boys and girls that will cover how to begin creating on the app!

Students following this program will learn to make the following items:
Week 1 - Beginner Faceless Portrait
Week 2 - Create a Sticker
Week 3 - Animal Painting
Week 4 - Create a GIF Animation
Week 5 - Landscape Art Piece
Week 6 - Turn Design into Physical Product

Procreate skills that will be covered include:

- the use and importance of layers
- How to create an animation
- benefits of using different brushes for blending and textures
- how to create a sticker to print or sell
- different settings and techniques
- how to create physical product with your designs

Each week, I will present my video tutorial and provide a PDF explaining our project that you will need to download.

Students will be asked to share their completed projects with the class during the week by uploading picture or video to our classroom on Outschool so that your fellow students and I can admire your work! Students will also be asked to engage with other students’ work to encourage each other through their projects and assignments. Each week learners will create a video that will share using "I have learned" or "I have loved" statements to talk about their art and the week's topic and assignment. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings we want to ensure as much communication amongst the class as possible.

Since this is a flex class, there are no live meetings; however, I am available to answer your questions any time during the 6 weeks of class. I will also be posting tips and ideas, suggestions and encouragement in the classroom throughout the course. This is the biggest difference between my course and any other procreate course you might find online!

Each student needs:
- an iPad, separate from the device they are taking class on
- a stylus pen (Amazon has many great options for good prices); you DO NOT need an Apple Pencil
- Procreate App ($9.99+ depending on currency of your country)
- a smile and their imagination
Learning Goals
Students will use their creativity to begin drawing and creating their own pieces of digital artwork.

Hello there!

My name is Emile Power and I cannot wait to meet your learner! I am a stay-at-home mom to three daughters, live in Toronto, ON and have nine years of teaching experience. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology through Laurentian University as well as a TESOL and TEFL certificates. After tutoring privately for many years for ages 3-18, I began teaching ESL in the online classroom. I have been teaching ESL online for over two years now and absolutely love the online classroom! I have a multitude of experience working with children with disabilities including but not limited to ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome and learning disabilities. My classroom is a place of accessibility so please do not hesitate to ask for accommodations or let me know how I can help your child succeed.

My teaching style is student centered and engaging. I like to focus on bringing learning to life through activities. I have always been a hands on learner and watching my daughters learn as well it seems to stick better when they can get their hands dirty. My classes will always include creating. We will work through concepts like math, reading and comprehension through creating and using our imagination. I will be focusing on comprehension, creativity and imagination in my classes for all ages. I will have classes designed for specific age groups to ensure all learners can participate in an atmosphere that suits their learning level and needs.

Life lessons are so important and creating a classroom environment to learn them in a fun way is always my goal. Using the creative side of the brain allows for different retention of material as well as a new outlet for growth and development.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have and make sure to follow my profile for upcoming classes.

I always offer financial support as well if needed. Please do not hesitate to ask, I want my classes to be accessible to everyone.
