I am so excited to teach and create art with learners here on Outschool! Welcome to the Series of Classes -Unlocking Creativity- Under the right conditions, all children can become more creative thinkers, expressive artist and problem solvers. Drawing and designing characters is one of the ways to unlock their creativity. On this Flex Course students will learn to draw anime, chibi & manga style character bodies, clothing and accessorizes. This class is perfect for cartoon, game, character, anime, chibi and art lovers. Every week we will draw a new character, costume and fashion outfit! Syllabus: Week 1- Anime heads, hairstyles and headpieces. Week 2- Anime body in proportion- Girl Front View Week 3- Anime body in proportion- Boy 3/4 View Week 3- Anime School Uniform Girl- Standing Pose- pleated skirts Week 4- Anime Street Outfit Boy- Half Body- hoody Week 5- Anime Girl Dress - Jumping Pose- ruffles Week 6- Anime Hairstyles Week 7- Final Project Teacher will post every Monday a new video for students to watch with a step by step drawing instructions. Students will have one week to complete their project. Once when students are ready they can share their finished project or work in progress on a classroom page. Teacher will give a separate feedback to each student and initiate student conversation and discussion about the drawings and unique characters they created. Teacher will post interactive quizzes and interesting facts about anime and fashion design as an additional weekly conversation starter. Students will get the knowledge about basic anime body anatomy and clear understanding how to create various poses. They will be able to use this knowledge to create many different anime poses and body shapes in their work outside the class. Beside learning technical drawing skills students will be encouraged, motivated and lead by teacher in embracing their own creativity and letting their imagination flow. Students will learn to: - how to think as a designer and make their own character; - learn how to draw easily anime style bodies in proportion in different poses step by step; - draw and design their character outfit and costume; - various shading and drawing techniques. Please note: There will no be live meetings for this course, this course includes pre recorded lectures and drawing demonstrations. If you are interested in live classes please enroll your learner on any of my other fashion or anime live classes. This class is suitable for children of all skill levels and no prior drawing experience is required.

Supply List
Pencils Drawing paper (or watercolor paper if students want to try watercolors) Eraser and sharpener Blending tools- tissues, q tips or blending stumps Ruler Any coloring medium such as colored pencils, markers or watercolors. I will be teaching students how to use all of those and they can choose just one or more mediums to work with.

I have been teaching costume and design classes at Northwestern University and I am so excited to share my knowledge, experience and inspiration with young developing artists here at Outschool.
