Outside of my Master's degree in Business, I am ALSO a homeschool mom of 2 kids! I adore learning things with my kids and teaching them daily about the world around them, but I especially love science. As a BIG science geek and book nerd, I love researching material and teaching it to others.
This class has no homework but has self-guided content along with labs and crafts to enhance the learning experience. Students will be asked to submit photos at LEAST of their notebook entry and also of any crafts or labs they completed that week.
Students will need a blank un-lined notebook with colored pencils or crayons for their weekly notebook entries. Additional lab and craft materials will be needed but are mostly easy-to-find items that you can find at any store or Amazon. Labs and crafts are optional each week and there are usually options for zero to few supplies needed labs.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- YouTube
- Google Drive
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This class will occasionally include access to additional YouTube videos which may have clickable outside content. A parent should supervise YouTube access. Additionally, parental supervision and help may be required for labs and crafts.
We will refer to several books including but not limited to the Smithsonian Super Earth Encyclopedia.
