Part 2 of 4. This is this second 4 week section of a 4 part course. If you have not taken part 1, please look through our class listings page and start at the beginning to enjoy the full course. In this AI for Better Learning class, students will learn how artificial intelligence can help them learn better and faster, with a focus on the innovative chatbot, ChatGPT. Students will gain an understanding of what artificial intelligence is and how it can b{{e used to improve their learning experience. The class will be divided into the following weeks and topics: Week 5: How Chatbots Respond Week 6: Interactive Chatbots Week 7: Advantages of Chatbots for Learning Week 8: ChatGPT's Features and Benefits By the end of the class, students will have a solid understanding of artificial intelligence and the many ways in which it can be used to enhance their learning experience. They will understand how to use it to improve their reading, vocabulary, conversation skills, and get homework help. They will have completed a final project that showcases their newfound knowledge and skills. The flexible schedule (Recorded Flex Class) allows learners to watch pre-recorded videos and complete assignments at their convenience. Students can spend extra time on topics that interest them most. As a flex class, there are no live meetings, but students can submit questions to the teacher and receive feedback on assignments. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to improve or adapt. Time frame for the Week: Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions. Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week. The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion. Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves. Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students. Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week. Please note: This course requires no prior experience.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the basics of AI and how it can be used to improve learning outcomes. They will also explore various AI-powered learning tools and develop their own AI-powered projects.
