Feel free to contact me with any questions. In this self paced course, students will learn the basics of personal finance as it pertains to teens. There are NO LIVE meetings for this class, and the student is able to work at his/her own pace. I will respond to any messages and will provide feedback on assignments within 24 hours. The tasks for each week should take about hour to complete. This includes a current, energetic, class video that I will record for them to actively watch. I am passionate about what I teach, and I understand that a virtual, active, hands on approach is what teens need to learn. I have been an online teacher for over 18 years. I have been a Business/Marketing Education Teacher since 1999. Teens will learn the foundation of money management and leave with new knowledge for tackling their own individual and personal financial goals. I will post handouts, worksheets, websites, and we will practice with real life financial calculators and simulators. My teaching style is fun, energetic and I like my students to lead the discussions and share with each other. We will use online tools as well as worksheets to help us learn. I hope your student can join my class soon! Students do not need any prior knowledge of person finance. We will play games, watch videos, have videos for homework, and do online research. Students will be able to share with each other via discussion posts.
Learning Goals
