Do you love writing stories? Are you looking to start something new? If so, then this class is for you! What are Flash Fictions? Flash Fictions are a type of story writing. They touch on every aspect of a story arc, but with significantly fewer words. Given this, they push writers to work on their vocabulary and word work, while also building their story writing ability. Who is this class for? This class is open to creative writers who are excited about learning something new....
Students will learn how to write flash fictions. They will practice writing skills such as structure, vocabulary, plot development, character development, story arcs, character arcs, and editing skills. Students will learn writing exercises to keep in their writing journals. Students will practice writing their ideas as concisely as possible.
The only homework will be to practice writing their flash fictions.
They will need their writing journal (or notebook paper) and something to write with.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
