In this five day class students will learn how to create a "5 star" sentence. Students will learn about capitalization, punctuation, finger spacing, neat handwriting, and more. This class will include fun discussions, writing activities, worksheets, and more. This writing class is great for kindergarten & first grade students who know the alphabet. This is also a great class for students who are just learning how to write.

Class Experience
In this five day course students will meet five times for 30 minutes to learn about creating a well structured, simple sentence. In this course I will teach your student how to create "5 star" sentences. (A FIVE star sentence is a sentence that begins with a capital letter, ends with punctuation, includes good finger spacing, has neat handwriting, and makes sense.) Throughout this course I will help your child learn about the basic structure of a sentence so they can start writing...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to write a well structured sentence. Students will begin sentences with a capital letter. Students will end sentences with punctuation. Students will create sentences using proper spacing. Students will create sentences by sounding out unfamiliar words. Students will create sentences by using nice and neat handwriting. Students will identify good (and bad) sentences.
Any activities not completed during class can be completed at home. I will also provide optional homework assignments.
Students will be provided handouts for each class. (Many handouts can be recreated easily if you do not have access to a printer.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
