In this FLEX course students will review lessons and complete activities to help learn about creating a well structured, simple sentence. In this course I will teach your student how to create "5 star" sentences. (A FIVE STAR SENTENCE is a sentence that begins with a capital letter, ends with punctuation, includes good finger spacing, has neat handwriting and makes sense.) Throughout this course I will help your child learn about the basic structure of a sentence so they can start writing...
Students will learn how to write a well structured sentence. Students will begin sentences with a capital letter. Students will end sentences with punctuation. Students will create sentences using proper spacing. Students will create sentences by sounding out unfamiliar words. Students will create sentences by using nice and neat handwriting. Students will identify good (and bad) sentences.
Students will be provided handouts for each class. (Many handouts can be recreated easily if you do not have access to a printer.) NearPod may also be used during some lessons. Using NearPod is optional.
