Writers will use the 5 paragraph structure to address an expository prompt. Expository writing is the most tested type of writing and is most closely related to the writing used in real life. Expository writing includes process essays, comparison essays, cause/effect essays, descriptive essays, and problem/solution essays. We will review the standard structure of a 5 paragraph essay and the importance of each part. This may be a review for learners. Students will create their own graphic...
Students will understand how to find the essential question in the prompt and the process of creating a 5 paragraph plan to address the prompt completely.
