In this 2 day class, students will learn how to write a five paragraph essay. We will walk through a planning page together, learn about hooks, write our papers, edit them to add adjectives and transitions and finally share them in class.

Description
Class Experience
Students will be taught how to write a five paragraph opinion essay starting from the planning stages and working all the way to a final revised draft. On day one, students will be provided with a planning page. I will model how to complete the planning page and work through at the students' pace to ensure that a strong plan is generated by all. A lesson on how to write a hook will be provided at this time. Students will finish up day one by beginning their rough drafts. Modeling, PowerPoint,...
Students will learn how to write a five paragraph essay. Students will further their understanding of what a hook is, how to edit their essays and the writing process.
A double -sided planning page will be provided to the student pen/pencil lined paper
A written report will be provided to learners who submit their essays within 48 hours of class completion.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
A prepared PowerPoint will be used to present the information in a Screen-share view.
