Welcome Friends! This is a Five Nights at Freddy's social group which will include FNAF-related activities to do each week! This Club is centered around the popular franchise of "Five Nights at Freddy's" and is hosted by a long-term fan (Ms. Gonzalez!). Participants will be able to share their knowledge, discuss theories, and show off their cosplay, merch, etc. There are Five kinds of activities that will be done every other week: Drawing, Discussing, Escape rooms, Reviews, and Trivia! Here is each activity explained: Drawing: Participants will get to draw their favorite character (or any character), show their drawings, and discuss FNAF lore while doing so! Students should bring paper they can draw on and colored pencils or whatever other material they would like to use to draw with Discussing: We will discuss different theories related to FNAF, share our opinions, talk about how we got into FNAF, and let the conversation flow! Escape rooms: Participants will do an FNAF-themed escape room and try to avoid getting jump scared! How do the escape rooms work? Each escape room is split into parts. The escape room could be one part, two parts, or three parts. Each part has a time limit and a task (such as figuring out a number code). If the tasks are not completed within their time limit, I will give students the answer, and we'll move on to the next part. Participants work together to solve puzzles, and riddles to escape! Trivia: Students will put their knowledge to the test through a series of fun FNAF-related trivia questions :) Winners will be able to choose the theme for an escape room we do (related to FNAF of course). Reviews: During this week will be review/rank FNAF related memes, games, characters, Etc.! Video Day: On this day we will watch a FNAF Pre- approved video :) Drawing Day: On this day we will Draw any FNAF Character we want to :) Here is a breakdown of the next few weeks (This will be updated regularly): Week of October 7th - 13th - Drawing Day Week of October 14th - 20th - Escape Day Week of October 21st - 27th - Theory Day Week of October 28th - November 3rd - Review Day Week of November 4th - 10th - Video Day Week of November 11th - 17th - Trivia Day Week of November 18th- 24th - Drawing Day Week of November 25th- December 1st - Escape Day Week of December 2nd - 8th - Theory Day Week of December 9th - 15th - Review Day Week of December 16th 22nd - Video Day Week of December 23rd - 29th - Trivia Day Week of December 30th - January 5th - Drawing Day Week of January 6th - 12th - Escape Day Week of January 13th - 19th - Theory Day Week of January 20th 26th - Review Day Week of January 27 - February 2nd -Video Day Parental guidance: This class includes themes that may be frightening to some students. Furthermore, I will be screensharing my screen for each session. The escape rooms are made using google slides and google forms. The trivia is also made using google forms. In addition, I do use canva.com to create imagery for my classes. There are no videos or other third-party tools that will be used. Students do not have to create any accounts to participate.
Supply List
I only ask that students bring a pencil and paper, as they will occasionally be needed.
External Resources
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from University of Houston-Downtown
Hello! Thank you for considering me :)
My name is Stephanie.
My background:
I have a bachelor's degree in education from the university of Houston-Downtown in Texas, and a TEFL certification. I have been on Outschool for the past three years and worked with students ranging from 3-18 years of age. I used to work with two different ESL Companies, as well as a therapy clinic for children with autism and ADHD. I teach English, Spanish, and other topics that I am passionate about.
What I do:
I have specialized in the art of creating/running escape rooms. I enjoy tying these escape rooms with educational topics! They help students build their social skills, critical/logical thinking skills, and confidence. Plus, students get the opportunity to learn and talk about topics they love!
What I believe in:
I believe that encouragement, patience, and freedom of expression are essential in every classroom. It's no secret that students learn differently, and that education is the key to the future. So, I want to make sure every student is comfortable in class, has their needs met, and has an equal opportunity to speak/participate!
How I got into education:
My journey in becoming a teacher began when I was a lot younger and would babysit my neighbors' kids. I often helped them out with their homework assignments and slowly realized that I enjoyed doing so. I had always been told by my peers and my family that I should consider being a teacher but, I had never given it a second thought until my senior year of high school when I had a fantastic teacher who completely changed my life. From that moment, I was inspired to become a teacher and do the same for others.
I look forward to positively impacting your child :)
Some things I love:
• I love to read! (Some of my favorite books include Harry potter and Wings of fire)
• I love video games! (Especially Nintendo games!)
• My Favorite movie is "Encanto"
Thanks for reading, I am excited to see you in class!!!
