In this class, the students will listen to the fingerplay Five Little Elves written by Amy Brown for the first read-through. The students will also be looking at pictures that match each section of the fingerplay while they listen. The students will make paper elf puppets using a printout that I will provide. Then the students will practice retelling the story using their puppets. All students will be encouraged to participate in the retelling. The students will also practice counting the elves and identifying the rhyming words. If time allows, we will do another retelling with the students each being assigned to an elf.
