In this ongoing course, elementary level students will build foundational physical education skills throughout this national standards-based course. Physical education is essential for all students as they will practice motor skills, movement patterns, coordination, balance and sport specific skills. All of these abilities are fundamental to any physical education program. This class will offer the fun and engaging atmosphere of a classroom P.E. class, but in the safety of your own home. As a former P.E. Teacher, fitness instructor and current high school football coach, I see the importance of all students practicing fitness and other related skills. Each class will be full of high energy coaching, upbeat music and an overall positive atmosphere. Students will be able to jump in at any time throughout the course and feel included and energized! Hi learners and parents!
I currently am a credentialed teacher in Washington State and hold my endorsements in biology, health and fitness.
Last year, I taught P.E., weightlifting, health, environmental science, biology and physics to middle and high school students.
I have experience working with elementary level learners in one on one and small groups settings as a tutor for English, math and science. Also, I have coordinated and led numerous sports specific camps.
I am a former Orangetheory Fitness Coach and certified athletic trainer
I hold my Master's in Secondary Education with an emphasis in fitness, life sciences and health.
I received my B.S. in Athletic Training from Whitworth University. I completed 1,250 clinical hours in physical therapy clinics, collegiate, semi-professional and high school athletic training rooms, emergency rooms and urgent cares.
