This flex class will be taught over the course of 6 weeks. Each week, the students will receive 2 recorded 30 minute workouts to complete on their own time. Each workout will be completed in full by the instructor and demonstrations will be provided to ensure safety. The workouts will have a theme each week, and the theme will determine what "equipment" the student will need. Students will improve their fitness levels and discipline around exercise by completing 2 workouts per week and a short weekly fitness challenge.
I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. Both of these certifications require a written and practical exam covering topics of exercise technique, programming, human anatomy, and human nutrition.
Learners will be assigned a weekly partner to complete the weekly challenge with. The weekly challenge should be submitted by both of the partners by the end of the day on Friday each week. These challenges will range from anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental guidance is recommended for the completion of the weekly workouts. Please make sure the student is wearing proper workout attire and is hydrated to avoid any issues or potential injury while exercising.
