Parents will be able to see all work completed. I leave it up to the parents to decide if they want their student to complete all the assignments/test/quizzes, just portions of them, etc. I don't put in "0"s for non-complete/non-attempted work unless the parent has contacted me to say they want all work completed by the student. The grade shown on Google Classroom is for all attempted work.Grading

This is a full year middle school Physical Science course (two semesters). This course will run for 28 weeks (14 weeks each semester) and each topic is shown below. Lab activities will be given regularly throughout the course. On average the labs will be spaced about every 2-3 weeks to follow the topics we are learning in class. They will only use common household items (rulers, water, juice, marbles, etc). A full list of items will be given to students at the start of the class. Homework is assigned throughout the year for students to practice the material they are learning in class. Quizzes are given throughout the course for students to check their understanding. An exam is given at the end of each semester (2 total). Students will be given a weekly reading. This will either be in the form of a pdf or an online open source textbook. This course is appropriate for students who are in middle school and there are no prerequisites.
