This is a first lesson in identifying and evaluating wants & needs and how we make money decisions. We will do two exercises in our 20-minute class: 1. Identifying needs and wants 2. Going shopping! This class includes a worksheet as well as resources for parents to use at home. Mrs. Alyx is a CFP professional and Financial Advisor who has taught money and finance classes from preschool to College level. Learners will be introduced to the concepts of money decisions, in the context of what we *need* (to survive or to do our jobs/go to school) and what is a negotiable *want*.
Mrs. Alyx has a Canadian Certified Financial Planner designation and works every day with adults and children on money management and decision-making.
1 file available upon enrollmentA one-page PDF is sent in advance, for learners to print out (optional). A PDF parent/guardian workbook is also supplied after class.
Youtube video links will be shared in the classroom, after class, for adults to watch with their learners and continue home-learning.
