Students will gain a better understanding and appreciation of the role of First Lady of The United States and how they helped shaped U.S. culture and policy.

At the end of each class, students will be given 3-5 options for homework. These could be watching a movie, Youtube video, reading an article, recreating a recipe, or even writing a short (1-2 paragraph) paper. These are to expand on some of the subjects that we touched on during class.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This class will walk through American History, so there will be discussions about sexism, racism, discrimination, and war. These will be handled in an age appropriate manner. This is a non-partisan class. All learners are responsible for following the class rules of being respectful to their fellow classmates. Some homework options may include watching a video on Youtube.
