The social aspect of 1st grade is crucially important as students learn to take turns, listen to each other and work together as a group. There will be opportunities for students to grow their social skills in every class where every class starts with social time. Students will take turns talking and listening to each other. Students will only be muted if they choose or excessive noise from their microphone prevents a quality learning environment. Please have your learner take class in a quiet place. Every week a parent letter will be posted on the classroom page to give a detailed description of the coming week's lessons. Some lessons will have pdf worksheets that can be used after class to reinforce the lesson taught. Not ever week’s lessons will have worksheets but many will. Bachelor's Degree from Geneva College
As a father to an active 6 year old, I know that learning must be fun. The early years of a child’s education is critical not only for their future success but also their enjoyment of learning. I want to start kids off right on this journey. I have a BA in Student Ministry with over a decade experience teaching children. I have over 4 years of experience teaching children on online platforms and pride myself on never letting kids get bored yet always be learning. I previously held credentials through the State of Ohio Department of Education (now expired). I have a passion for helping children succeed.
