In this ongoing online course, students will practice first-grade math skills 100% in Spanish. Curriculum will be based around textbooks used for all students in Mexico with supplemental activities as needed.

Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in Spanish.
Students will learn key first-grade math skills (e.g. counting, addition, subtraction, counting by tens, solving simple word problems, etc.) while improving their Spanish-speaking skills
I have my BS. Ed. in K-12 Spanish Education. As a substitute teacher, I have had experience teaching elementary students a variety of math and re concepts.
Optional Nearpod and LiveWorksheet activities will be assigned to practice outside of class
Please have the following materials available: - Pencil/paper or white board markers - Crayons - Scissors - Glue sticks Occasionally, class will require printed materials. I will post these in the classroom and allow parents to know ahead of time so that they have time to prepare them.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be assessed through formative assessment activities including Nearpod activities, matching activities, guided practice and independent practice problems.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may require parental guidance to use scissors for some class activities. Parents will be notified in advance in the classroom.
The curriculum is based on "Desafíos matemáticos: Primer grado," the official textbooks used to teach 1st grade students in Mexico.
