Class Experience
In this highly engaging class, students will learn to read and spell 40 first-grade sight words. In the class, we practice reading and spelling the sight words through choral response, visual aids (printed words on the screen), and flashcards. During each class, we read an emerging reader together and the child receives printable flashcards, worksheet, and an emerging reader for the week. Students will master reading and spelling 40 first- grade sight words including: and, out, see, good, want, may, say, when, call, must, green, which, please, by, said, this, what, some, here, after, when, were, walk, think, then, know, how, her, him, just, once, open, over, old, let, every, fly, going, could, round.
Every week students will have a printable worksheet, flashcards, and an emerging reader that they can practice with at home.
Printable flashcards, emerging readers, and worksheets will be provided.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
