Welcome to Science Fusion taught in Spanish. The class will include a mixture of S.T.E.M., Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science. We will even learn about inventors and careers in science! This class will include hands-on activities, such as drawing, painting, and other projects. There will be writing exercises where students will compare and contrast information and they will also be creating a web of facts. First grade Science is very interesting and fun for students! We will be meeting twice a week to learn about S.T.E.M., Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science.

- Learning with our senses - Activity - Tasting sweet, sour, salty (Please bring foods that taste sweet, sour, and salty for the class activity). - Science tools we can use for measuring: ruler, tape measure, balance, measuring cup, thermometer. (Please bring any of these that you have at home.) - Homework: Complete pages 11-12. 25 mins online live lesson

Inquiry Skills (pages 13 - 24)
What is a hypothesis? - Sequencing Lifecycle Activity: Lifecycle of a butterfly and lifecycle of a frog Printable materials will be available before class 25 mins online live lesson

What are the scientific instruments? (pages 25 - 34)
Measuring instruments
Bring a ruler and paper clips (or cubes or object of choice) to measure using a conventional and an unconventional instrument.
Complete pages 32-34 for homework

Lesson 4:
How do scientists work? (pages 35 - 44) Part I
- Make a hypothesis and a plan about colors.
- Activity: Mix paint colors
Bring paint (watercolors, etc) to practice mixing colors.
