What's included

2 live meetings
1 hrs 20 mins in-class hours per week
Homework
1 hour per week. Homework pages will be offered following each skill. These pages are optional for each learner only. They can be used for caregivers to access their student's areas of strength and weakness.
Assessment
Teacher will provide feedback to caregivers via the classroom learner tab on observations made of their student during class time.

Class Experience

US Grade 1
Each class we will focus on one main concept from first grade skill sets, so students may join at any time!  Students will be given direct instruction of the concept of focus. They will then be given example problems to work on in whole group, following the teacher’s example and directions. This time will allow for open discussion and questions to be asked in order to gain a deeper understanding. Finally, students will be given their own problem(s) to work on during class time with follow up worksheets and/or website suggestions given for independent practice between classes!

Week One: (May 31/June 1): Count and write numbers through 100, backwards and forwards counting from any number
Week Two: (June 7/8): Number Sense: forward and backward within 120/ Add three addends together
Week Three: (June 14/15):  Place value up to hundreds (Mon/Wed 1:45 Class July 3/5)
Week Four: (June 21/22): Number sense:  using fact family/ finding missing numbers (Mon/Wed 1:45 Class July 12th only)
Week Five: (June 28/ 29): Adding and subtracting ten in double digit numbers (Mon/Wed 1:45 Class July 17/19)
Week Six: (July 5/6): Adding numbers within 30/ Missing addends (Mon/Wed 1:45 Class July 24/26)
Week Seven: (July 12/13): Subtracting numbers within 30/ missing numbers in equations ((Mon/Wed 1:45 Class July 31/ Aug 2)

Learning Goals

Students will learn and/or improve on their first grade math skills.  This class is a great fit for a student looking to keep their skills sharp over the summer months!

Supply List
Learners should come to class with something to write on and something to write with! 
Learners should also print out a 100 number chart to bring to class.  Learners can find their own online, or use this link:
