US Grade 1
In this ongoing class, students will review their first-grade math skills. The teacher will demonstrate the skill. The students will review the skill with the teacher. Students will then practice the skill independently. Students should be able to count and write numbers to 100 and be working on counting and writing numbers beyond 100. Students should also be able to add and subtract numbers to 20 and be familiar with place value. Students who have these skills and other first-grade skills could do well in this class. Hello everyone! Welcome to Outschool!
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you! I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too. I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online. When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person. My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups. I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License. I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also. My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways. I love to have fun while learning! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
