This phonemic awareness skill is vital to learning how to blend and read. Learn how to read CVC words through blending letter sounds, engaging activities, games, and lots of repetition. Students will blend sounds and make words with each word family. Students will engage in a variety of activities to practice word families. Students will recognize rhyming words. Students will sort words.

Your child should have a whiteboard, marker, and eraser to practice words during class. Your child will need a tub of playdough, crayons, and a pencil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
