Day 3 - Rhyming and Reading We will clap and count syllables, identify and generate rhyming words, read 30 sight words, read cvc words, listen to and retell a story. Day 4 - Writing and Sharing We will practice writing our first names, starting with a capital letter and the rest lowercase; write a sentence using a capital letter, spaces and end punctuation; and share our sentences along with an illustration. These topics will be discussed through demonstration and hands on application. This means that the children will need to have some supplies on hand to complete the course in the best way possible. The supplies should be household items. Thank you! I am excited to see your learner in class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Virginia Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hi! My name is Molly. I am a wife and mother to five (James is 6, Collin is 4, and triplet 2 year olds, Grace, Hazel, and Nellie!). I received my B.A. in Psychology and Public Policy from The College of William and Mary in 2009. I received my M.A.T.- Elementary Education from Liberty University in 2011. I have 5 years of formal classroom experience. I spent 4 years teaching Kindergarten and 1 year teaching 1st grade. I also served my brick-and-mortar school as an International Baccalaureate program coordinator. I have spent the last several years as an online ESL teacher to students across the world.
I LOVED teaching in the kindergarten classroom because it taught me that learning can be magical. I have learned how to channel that momentum to create wonder and engagement in little learners. I like to incorporate a lot of movement and song into my classes and believe in learning with the whole body. I view my role of teacher as the guide and know that students learn best through the hands-on, engaging experiences that I am able to provide for them. I have a passion for teaching early literacy skills and like to incorporate aspects of math, science, art, and other disciplines into my lessons whenever possible.
My classroom will always be positive, inviting, interactive, and engaging. I am so excited to meet your child. I cannot wait to be a part of your child's educational journey!
Let's learn and have fun together.
