Beginner - Advanced Level
Start at any time! This class covers a full-year curriculum of First Grade grammar and writing. Topics covered will include complete sentences, parts of speech, capitalization, punctuation, and beginning paragraph writing. Class begins with a discussion and examples of the writing skill being taught. Guided lessons take your learner through the process of creating solid sentences and relating them to one another in a paragraph. Week of October 21st: Nouns and verbs Week of October 28th: Subjects and predicates (Complete Sentences) Week of November 4th: Pronouns Week of November 11th: Compound subjects (and conjunctions) Week of November 18th: Compound predicates (and conjunctions) Week of November 25th: Fall break No class! Week of December 2nd: Adjectives Week of December 9th: More adjectives Week of December 16th: Adverbs Winter break! We'll be back in January 2025.
