If a student misses class, parents will have access to the classroom page and they can refer to the posts where I upload documents and worksheets with dates for each session.

By enrolling your learner in this class, you agree to the following classroom rules, expectations, and policies I set for my virtual classroom:

Classroom Rules and Expectations:
- Be kind to your fellow classmates, yourself, and the teacher.
- Use appropriate language. (No swearing, cussing, or abusive/threatening language.)
- Do not share any personal information or links.
- Allow others to speak and refrain from talking over someone who is already speaking.
- If you have a question, please be patient and raise your hand.
- Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Every student will need to have a Zoom username that matches their enrolled first name on Outschool, otherwise that student will not be let in, no exceptions.
- Every student will need to verify their identity via video (webcam) upon joining the session, otherwise that student will not be let in, no exceptions.

Student Behavior:
Students need to be respectful, kind, and courteous towards other students and the teacher. Behaviors that are aggressive, rude, or disruptive will not be tolerated, as this almost always ruins the experience for everyone else. Any student showing these behaviors will only receive two (2) warnings, after that they will immediately be removed from the session and will not be allowed back in until the next session.

Microphone Use:
I do not require my students to keep their microphones muted during class, however, if a student is making unnecessary noises (i.e. singing, humming, created noises from wiggling/fidgeting, etc.) that cause a disruption, I will give that student two (2) warnings to mute their microphone. If they don't listen or just do not hear me, I will automatically mute their microphone without any further warning. This same rule applies for if/when a student is purposely talking over me, another student, or being disruptive.

Please understand that these are 4-6 year old students, and kindergarten in general can get loud and hectic, but as the teacher I need to be able to hear how my students are interacting with each other (i.e. sounding out words and counting their numbers) and I cannot teach and assess my students properly if they're constantly on mute.

Parent Engagement:
I invite parents of young students to be present during class, but I require that parents do not engage with other students. If you feel that another learner is being disruptive, please do not interrupt my class to bring this up. Please send me a message privately via Zoom or Outschool messages under the "conversations" tab. It is inappropriate to address another student for any reason in my class, please let me handle ALL interactions with other students who are not yours.

Communication Guidelines:
In direct correlation with Outschool's policies regarding communications, all means of communication between teachers, parents, and learners need to stay on the Outschool platform for student safety and privacy reasons. If a learner wishes to communicate with another student for any reason, the parent first needs to reach out to me via private message on Outschool, and then use the classroom page to communicate with the other parent.

More information on Outschool's policy for learner's staying in touch - https://support.outschool.com/en/articles/2086860-how-to-use-outschool-as-a-parent

Failure to follow these rules may result in a student’s immediate removal from the class or group and their enrollment being cancelled.

Refund Policy:
- If you determine that any enrollment with me is not a good fit for your learner, or you are unsatisfied with your purchase, I will 100% refund your enrollment fee.
- If your learner misses class, please reach out in advance and request a refund, I will get back to you as soon as possible. I understand there are other unforeseen circumstances and I’m willing to take care of refunds in those situations.
- If a learner misses class and I do not receive notice after 24 hours (1 day) of the missed class or session, parents may not be entitled to a refund.
