Description

Class Experience

Hello and welcome to the beginning of first grade! There's so much to learn, discover and explore and this class is full of opportunities to do just that! As a former classroom teacher and full time homeschool mom, I'm excited to offer this semester long class that will have your student feeling happy, excited and confident as they begin a new school year in first grade! 

Each week we will meet 2 times to cover 2 different subject areas that are crucial to the success of every first grader....

Students will gain the necessary tools to complete first grade with confidence and be better prepared to enter second grade. Each class is focused and fun, allowing students to learn in an engaging atmosphere.

Oftentimes that teacher will encourage students to talk with someone at home about what they are learning. Sometimes, materials will be provided for extension and review outside of class.

At the end of the semester, parents will be given an informal report that outlines what has been covered, student strengths and areas for possible improvement and review.

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
