🎉🎉 All aboard, First Graders! 🎉🎉 Join Dr. Collazo, a certified elementary teacher, for an engaging and interactive 1st-grade class where each week introduces a fresh theme and fun ways to learn together! Each week, we’ll explore a unique theme that ties into both our reading and math lessons. On Reading Days (Mondays and Wednesdays), we’ll focus on essential reading skills. On Math Days (Tuesdays and Thursdays), we’ll build foundational math skills—with an added dose of science on Tuesdays based on our theme! Each day, students will also strengthen their writing skills while practicing key 1st-grade concepts like addition, subtraction, number bonds, reading blends, sight words, and more. Hi there! I'm Dr. Collazo! 👋🏼 I specialize in developing and teaching curriculum for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade. I hold a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction (EdD) and a Master's in Elementary Education. I've taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 4th Grade in one of the largest public school districts in the U.S., with a focus on supporting English Language Learners by differentiating instruction to ensure every student has an equal opportunity to succeed.
Since 2020, I've been teaching online, and in 2021, I completed my Kindergarten curriculum on Outschool. It was incredibly rewarding to see my students' growth, and I look forward to making a difference every year! 😊
