In this one-time class, we will review first-grade addition and subtraction with hands-on math games. We will improve mental math speed and accuracy through engaging games and group activities. Parents, this class is for the first graders who are entering second grade. We will review various addition and subtraction skills and strategies. This class will not be able to cover all the addition and subtraction material in detail. It could be fast-paced for learners that are not comfortable...
- play math bingo and eat yummy snacks - depending on the group, they could show off their favorite art piece made with numbers or move their bodies with a game of Simon Says - improve mental math speed with visual aids - receive checkpoints for the areas that need more work
