I have been a trained fire fighter and an educator. I have taught fire prevention in schools. I feel very strongly that it is important for students to learn fire safety. This one time class will cover important fire safety information, including prevention, what to do if there is a fire, and how to make an escape plan. Students need to know how to prevent fires and what to do if there is a fire. Students will learn how to help their families design an escape plan, look for common hazards, the importance of a smoke detector, and what to do if a fire occurs. The goal of this class is to help students have an effective plan in case of a fire, know how to prevent fires, and know where to go to get additional information if they need it.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to prevent fires, make an escape plan, and what to do if a fire does occur.
