In this class we learn strategies to finish writing a story, how to edit your book, and how to publish your story. This class is perfect for students who already have part, most, or all of a book written, but are not sure what to do next. In the first five weeks we will learn writing exercises and strategies to help you finish your first draft of your story, modified content will be posted for students who already have a completed first draft. The next 6 weeks will cover how to edit your story. The last 5 weeks of the course will be all about getting your book ready for publication. Each week you will be assigned to critique another student's work. You will need to read some of their writing and share something you liked about it and something they could improve on. It's important to be active in this class so that everyone can get feedback. You will also need to post some writing each week to share with the class. The learning format for this class will be through pre-recorded videos, writing exercises, and peer support. This class is customized for the group of learners. If you are not ready to move on to the editing/ publishing steps I will post alternative topics/ exercises for you. You can also take this course more than once if you have not completed your book by the end. All resources will be provided as PDF or word document attachments, students will not be required to visit third party websites to complete this course.
