Class Experience
Hello! Welcome to this fun and interactive class where learners will be given visual instruction on how to finger weave using yarn. At the beginning of class, learners will engage in a quick meet and greet. We will stretch our hands by doing fun exercises that warm up the hands and the brain! Learners will be given a quick lesson on the history of finger weaving/knitting including which culture group finger weaves and what it is used for. The learning goals for this lesson are as follows: - Learners will be able to finger weave using yarn. - Learners will be able to follow step-by-step instruction. - Learners will engage in conversation. - Learners will have fun!
I learned how to finger weave in school and the technique has stuck with me. I enjoy creating and this style of weave because it is easy and the end product is unique.
For this class, there is no homework.
Learned will need: Yarn Scissors
I will be able to assess the learners through observation during the class.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
